Can I swap a pump head on a warmflow green 70 Kanin-pal combi he for anything else apart from the manufacturers own.

I've just been quoted £179+vat from plumb centre and £139+vat from hwos.

I can't believe a pump head is over £100 that's a rip off!

Is it an A rated pump? I bought from Warmflow a standard Grundfoss 6m pump they supplied for me to use the head. Cost very little from memory, - think £60.
You could contact Warmflow directly.

No its not an A rated pump it just looks like a rebadged grundfos but it is a twin pump in at the moment.

Im just about to phone them.

Ups 2 head. They did away with the twin head pumps for two seperate pumps. I would think the ups2 will fit. Its what I would try first.

I spoke to warmflow and found out it is a ups2 they have changed over to, I was quoted £189 from them! I did ask why they are so expensive and was told that it was just the price of all pumps now to which I replied I will just buy a grundfos one and save myself £100 he didnt sound too bothered.

Now my problem is the PRV I've been quoted £29 + Vat!!! I might just tell her to get a grant. lol

Whats up with the prv? Bad design on the warmflow with that stupid flexi to the expansion vessel. In principle its a good idea for moving the ev out of the way but it fills up with crap from the prv end and can block the pressure gauge. Had a couple that showed 1.5 bar but the pressure switch hadnt reset as the pressure in the boiler was much lower.

Hwos the warmflow one item w2132 is 17 plus vat and a generic one item prvwgc is 6.05 plus vat.

Is that the same size as I can't remember the size of the tapping for the expansion vessel hose. I also thought that they were like the grant and had that funny little nut on them.

I might just buy one of those pro boxes from them as they look handy.
