Hi,

I live on a houseboat and am currently putting in a new bathroom.

I was going to run my was bathroom basin waste into the bath waste but I understand I could have syphoning issues when the basin empties. The reason for this is simply to cut down the amount of waste pipes on the outside of the boat.

The pipe from the basin would be at a 45 degree angle down to the bath waste.

I understand you can get anti-vac traps for the basin. Does anyone have experience using these? Are they difficult to fit and are they effective. Would I be better off just keeping all the waste separate?

Many thanks,

Rich

they are superb mate, but I know sod all about boat plumbing. I fit them on every installation, go for McAlpine a few quid dearer but IMO the best by miles
