washing machine locations

How many of you guys have your washing machines in your garages ? Do you have any problems with it out there ie freezing?

I have mine in the kitchen, the tumble drier is in our back hallway, as my garage is down 30 or so steps and under the lawn, its a bit of a beggar walking to it.
