Hi guy's, just wondering, Do you need double or single check valves on the feed to the washing machine?

I have looked in my Nvq2 and nvq3 book and cant see it mentioned there.

I think that i heard some where that most appliances come with them built in these days?

Is this right?

Thanks fo all your help!!

According to the WRAS guide under normal circumstances in domestic situations additional backflow prevention isn't required, as inbuilt in appliance(washing machine,washer-dryers and dishwashers. If inbuilt protection inadequate, additional external protection required.

Hi Mutley
I agree with you about this forum.IT'S GREEEEAAAT(As Tony the Tiger said).
Had a look at the screwfix forum the other day,all they seem to do is take the P and slag each other off.
Every contributer on here should be proud of the help they give others be it DIY ers, newbies(like myself)and the way they come across, being professional,I would rather ask for help from more experienced people and even have constructive criticism to help me on my path to become a better plumber, than just be plain slagged off.
What does anyone achieve out of that!
A pat on the back to everyone
Well Done
