Hi

Can you advise me please?

I need to replace waste pipe.

In wickes they sell the push fit.

They have pipe with no flared end which I'll use, pic 1 along with boss pipe & 40mm rubber connectors.

Also the boss pipe, just cut out with 40mm cutter & rubber fits it? Pic 3

In pic 2 the pipe has a flare at one end, why? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1449235301.013784.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1449235312.745730.jpg

I think that's it. Thx

Sorry, one more, at the end of the boss pipe where my hand is i take it I'll need another straight coupler to fix higher pipe to to take it up yo vent? At the mo it goes above roof. Does it need to vent that high? The connections will be from 1st floor bathroom.

Get some silicone spray grease, makes putting together a lot simpler

The flare at one end of the pipe is a socket. Another pipe will slot into it without need for a coupling.

the end with the flare is to save using a straight connector, and in pic 2 the end your hand is at is the bottom, you would put this into the flared end at the correct height or a straight connector

and yes the boss can just be cut with a hole saw then your s/w or push fit rubber goes straight in, i usually pilot the middle first

and silicone spray makes life 100x easier and a good rough file to sham fer the end quickly, although if your in a jam you can just rub it on the concrete
