Hello knowledgeable people,

I have to install a sink waste with four elbows in it over a distance of about 5 metres and had intended to run it in 50mm to be sure of good drainage but was just looking around the regs and found there was no length limit on running 40mm. I'm putting in rodding access and an AAV too be on the safe side but just wanted confirmation I could stick to 40mm.

I was aslo intending to hook the bathroom basin into the pipe (would be 32mm for about 1m then into the 40/50mm) would this change matters?

Couldn't find a very definitive web site for pipe runs and diameters, does anyone know of one?

Cheers for any and all answers.

32mm 1.7 metres fall 18-20mm per metre. clip spacing horizontal 0.8m vertical 1.5-1.7m
40mm 3.0 metres fall 19-90mm. 0.9m 1.8m
50mm 4.0 metres fall 18-90mm. 1.0m 2.1m
You can always use a waterless trap or anti vac trap may assist
