Waste pipe size query

Hi,

I have a basin trap that has a 35mm chrome waste pipe supplied. I was wondering if this can converted to standard 32mm pipe as the chrome isn't long enough. I

seems odd that the Chrome pipe isn't a standard size?

Thanks for the replies. Having had a look online, I've noticed that pushfit has an OD of 35mm so i assume the ID is 32mm. It could be that my chrome pipe is infact 32mm waste but pushfit hence the 35mm perhaps?
