Hi. In the kitchen I have a mixer tap which, about once every hour or so, suddenly spurts out a small quantity of water when the tap is firmly off. There's no dripping or anything beforehand. Does anyone know what might cause this?
Many thanks

Has your tap got a largish spout?
Your tap washer or ceramic disc (depending on whether you have standard taps or 1/4 turn type) is slightly passing and after an hour or so the tap spout gets full and then empties
