Hi

I have got a combi bolier which is linked to my Gledhill cylinder. The cylinder is connected through the heating ring. However, when my heating is on full blast the cylinder overheats and the overflow starts releasing water. As I am on a water meter this is resulting in a loss of water and money! Any ideas of how this can be resolved?

Thanks for your help.

Are you sure it's a combi boiler and that the cylinder is on the heating flow and return?
Check to make sure that it's not a system boiler and an unvented cylinder that you have, some pics would help...
If it is a combi, there shouldn't be any need for a buffer tank on that system unless there is some wierd and wonderfull stuff going on.

I would suggest getting an engineer out to have a look for you, if you post in the Looking for a Plumber section there may be someone local to you that can help you out :)
