I replaced 2 sets of basin taps and the only problems is that the upstairs bathroom cold tap makes a loud banging noise and pipe work vibrates, the only way to resolve the problem is to turn the mains water pressure down and it seems to be fine but the customer now complains that the pressure for her bath is not strong enough ?? Please could you advise ?

Thanks

You have probably fitted disc taps, they cut the water off quicker and no rubber cushion, you have not turned pressure down by closing main stopcock, you have reduced flow rate, quite different,if works however, fit isolation valves to tap, they should have been fitted anyway and close these down slightly to offending tap

imho
