Water hammer

When any of the water appliances have been used or the toilets have been flushed or the showers have been used,water hammer occurs about one minute later then whistling from two of the three toilets. I haven't replaced or added anything to the water system.

Is there a tank in the loft?

If so I would start by changing the ballvalve washer and seat and also the diaphrams in the toilet fill valves.
