Hello All, just joined as I have only found 1 result on google for my problem.
I have a Potterton Prima F50 boiler which was serviced last year. It had over that year a new fan and flue and has been working well since.
Returned home to find a cold wife - nothing new there, but this time it was the boilers fault.
Upon a demand from either CH or HW to fan would start as would the pump ...... then nothing. No ignition sequence.
Narrowed it down to either the fan venturi or the APS. Venturi is clear.
The APS however, once removed was full of water? Shook it out, gentle blow/suck with it on a meter and it works. Refitted and it lasted a couple of days. The air hoses show absolutely no signs of water in them even where there was a natural u-bend to them. After reading the installation manual, that U bend has now been removed.
Where would that water have come from and how could it have gotten down the vacuum hose?
I can only assume that the APS is trashed and requires replacing?
Thanks in advance.
