the borrower!!

father in law posed a problem to me, his new bungalow we can hear the water running but all taps are off and no visible leaks. Sytstems on a combi boiler, wondered if possible to run through kitchen mixer tap back up hot pipe other than that, stumped!

Does the sound go away when the main stopcock is turned off? Just coz you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening, bye-the-way! Pressure test would tell you quick enough I guess! Is on a water meter? You'll be able to see that spinning also! :)

wouldnt be the heating system as the pressure would be lost pretty quickly it must be on the mains, do as diamond gas has said and turn the mains stopcock off and if you can still hear the water then it is before the stopcock if not then its in the house, is the bathroom fed from the mains also ?

cheers for your responce. apparently theres a new meter fitted and has put on 32 units in kast 2 weeks with very little use. is it possible the water board may have caused the leak whilst replacing meter or faulty meter perhaps
