hi there
am i right in thinking the regulation size for a water storage tank which is in four bed house with two toilets, central heating etc, is minimum 44 gallons? It serves both hot and cold (though mains serves washing machine and kitchen tap)
42 gallons is no good?

It's down to the size of your cylinder, mains pressure and flow rates and water demand. Standard is 200 litre but you may need a bigger one if your mains is poor or youve got 2 pumped showers etc.

Hi. By investing in a lager size ball valve or equlibrium ball valve, you can expect the cistern to fill at least twice as fast as a standard Bs1212 valve. This practice may well suit your needs. Good Luck
