Water tank selection

I have a 16 year old state electric 80 gallon tank and I am thinking about replacement , I now have natural gas but no chimney my question is if I go Natural gas do I have to have a power vent t ype style? Are there any problems with the blower lasting if i go this route the electric model i have now is great but iam thinking Gas would be more efficient to run thanks dale
