New house, Bought only a few days again. Has a Nice new bathroom fitted, But when water leaves any Hole, Sink, Bath or toilet it bubbles up from the other 2.

The toilet fills to the brim then slowly gulps down when flushed, As gurgling water comes up from the bath.
I have checked and the system seems clean the toilet pipes are not blocked..

So I check the vent pipe, it expels in to the loft and not outside, So I trying checking this, But its so far jammed into the corner of the loft I can barely reach it, It looks new and has a cap over it, But as it was flush with the ceiling and only having about 12 inches clearance from the roof I couldn't get any closer to say anymore about it.

Any help would be nice- As its getting annoying, Especially for people that I forget to tell:hand::hand:

Hello TJ,
you say the house is new, is that just new to you or a new build?
if its a new build then definitely you need to get onto the builder/agent to get it sorted.
it is either a blockage or an issue with venting as you suggested.
I would be starting investigating the blockage possibility. what checking have you done already to be able to say its not blocked??

No. The house isn't new, Just a new house for us, but the bathroom suit is new.

I know as much as the pressure needs to go somewhere and if the Vent pipe is blocked, it exits through another way, EG the bath..

The toilet isn't block, As I've had the waste pipe off and looked into the vent pipe which is clear..
But investigating the vent pipe in the loft it appears to have a cover over it , I'm not sure if there's holes down the side or its a mushroomed type lid as its just to tight to get close, should there be a lid/cover? on the pipe and If i maybe try removed this, would help.

therefore could the blockage be further down "the chain" ie a neighbours??
Normally it has to be before any other junction outside, but if it joins a common sewer on other property and all of that is blocked back to the "gurgling pipe" it will have the same symptoms.

There was a similar thread recently on here which turned out to be a nappy not the AAV as suggested by some.

AAV?? Thanks Snowhead...

I was called out to a job similar to this, water gurgling/coming up the bath/shower wastes. On investigation of the drains they were clearly blocked - after rodding them I discovered a 9 inch roller sleeve had been placed in the drain by adisgruntled builder!! Have you checked your drains outside, i'd expect they are blocked and what your experiencing is back pressure.

First thing I would check is that nearest manhole to stack is clear, if it is then it will be blockage between line going into manhole and wc outlet into stack or Durgo problem as other appliances in bathroom affected. P.s. for future reference it is a basin not a sink as both are different. Let us know how you get on mate
