Hi everyone.

I have let too much water into expansion tank and the overflow pipe is now spilling water. How do i remedy this?

i mean the overflow pipe outside. just let it drain and pump air in or can i let some water out of a rad?
 
where does the water from the cisten drain from? sorry to be vague but i am a complete novice!!

One of the sides of the cistern (towards the bottom). It "drains" into/is part of the central heating system.
