Anyone know if on the WB filling link with the key you can remove the check valve bit?

I need to fill a ch system from a tank supply then top up with a hand pump to flush and commission before the mains gets connected

No go on the rads as they are column type with crappy little vent

Looks like i will have to get the tool back out

cant you do it via a drain off if there is one?

How meny times have you come across systems where installer HAS-NOT fitted drain of points, find this so annoying !!!!

Yep but normally i change a l/s valve for one with a drain off and would think there's one installed as its a new boiler / system

You would expect at least one to be fitted ! BUT ! with more & more quick in & out , give us your money installs, cost cutting going on, they don't get fitted, left to the next poor sod who has to work on system.

I love those systems where someone has fitted a drain point with a gate valve under a trap and its neatly piped to an outside drain :)

There is a drain off on the existing and I have fitted one under the boiler.
Never tried back filling through one though unless it's a hose Union type. They usually drop when draining down so might get a little wet :)
