WB greenstar expansion vessel

Can anyone offer me some help please

i have followed the correct procedure to recharge expansion vessel on my WB

when i try to re charge the EV the pressure on my pump shoots up to 2.5 bar and shows lots of resistance leading me to think that its not charging the vessel

can anyone offer some help be much appreciated
