WC Flush pipe moving!

I have a client with a back to wall pan and concealed cistern. The flush pipe keeps working its way out of the pan. I've replaced the flush cone, but still no joy. Any suggestions?

Make sure the cistern has a good solid support the whole depth of the cistern. A lot of times I find the cisterns are just hung on the carcass brace bar and the weight of the water at the bottom the the cistern pulls the cistern back I find.

put a clip on the flush pipe to the wall if you can

rubber lined clip
threaded rod
backplate

Clip flush pipe and silicon. Cone and let it set, there are different cones plastic and rubber

I use the nylon cones personally and I rough up the inside where the cone sits with some coarse emery cloth to give it a key to help prevent it sliding out you may have to fit a small block of wood behind the flush pipe to stop it from moving and clip the pipe to the block hope you get sorted...regards Turnpin...oh and welcome to the forums Alan:welcome2:

Thanks for the advice...reading similar threads, I notice that many recommend a rubber cone/seal, rather than a plastic version. Both the original and the replacement are both plastic.

Maybe it's a combination of the pipe moving and the seal not gripping?

or cheap pan out of spec flush pipe hole (slightly bigger)

If flush pipe is pulling out of flush cone, use a little clear silicon on flush pipe asa it enters cone, no prob and makes a good seal , the amount of flush pipes that weep from cone,

It's more the cone slipping out of the pan I think

Use lsx fernox leak sealer to bed cone in, put it on the fins , don't use to much and do not put it on the first fin that enters pan , let it set , and job done that should solve it ,

I would say the flush pipe has been cut too short and is pulling back to be honest, if its the cone slipping out try applying some plumbers mate into the groves and inserting the flush cone.

I've tried Plumbers mate in the groves if the cone, but it seems to work it self out. I've put a pipe clip on the flush pipe which is now firm in position. And I.ve made sure the cistern isn't moving also. So I'm at a loss.
Thought about trying super glue to stick the cone into the pan.....
Any more ideas, apart from buying the customer a new wc pan

Polymer sealant and adhesive. Comes in a tube for sealant gun. Most builders or plumbers merchants will have it or similar. Make sure surfaces are clean.

had a leak couple of months ago from similar, replaced the flush pipe which had been
cut too short by original installer.
