Hello all,

I am having a strange issue with my CH which I could use some advice on.

We have a Evo HE combi boiler. About 2 months ago we had to have the heat exchanger replaced because the boiler was only producing lukewarm hot water at high flow, and the diagnosis was that the heat exchange was gunked up with limescale. After this was done (and a limescale reducer fitted), everything was fine.

However we now have a new issue - our upstairs radiators seem to always be hot, even when the CH is not on! Even hours after the CH last ran, they still seem to be hot.

I have also noticed that the boiler seems to be running a lot more DHW pre-heat cycles now. I'm not really sure how often they ran in the past, but now they seem to run every 15 minutes or so, no matter whether DHW is being used or not.

Another symptom is that the hot water, which is typically fine, is occasionally lukewarm during the day.

When the CH is actually running, all radiators in the house seem to work well.

Does anyone have any ideas about what this might be? I have heard suggestions that it could be the diverter valve - is this a difficult thing to replace?

Thanks
