As above. What compressor do you lads use. For dry pressure testing ?

Just seen this one on screw fix
Stanley DN/8/5 4.5Ltr Portable Compressor 240V - Air Compressor | Screwfix

Also what do u guys use to connect to pipeworm ? Make up somthing using a schrider valve ?

monument do a really good shraeder valve in plumbfix. 72940 its good but only goes upto 4 bar. I have not had it leak once. Lots of other ones i have.Someone on here posted up a really nice wet hydraulic one for about 80 quids

Cheers pal ! Thos job only wants dry testing though ! Pain in the bum really !

I use the Rothenberger dry test kit and use the tyre inflater on the compressor I use for paint spraying.

What's the difference between dry and wet testing, I know one is with air and one is with water, but when would you use each method? We only ever pump up with water and we get it up to about 18 bar so the push fits we use supposedly get their teeth into the pipe and get a good grip. We use a standard pump bucket, well, when I say we.... I hate pumping up, would be interested to know what options there are and if there is a 110 electric pump that doesn't cost the earth. With air I suppose you only see the pressure drop on the gauge whereas with water it's easy to check all joints for moisture.
