Had a regular cust phone me today .

The issue they have is that their neighbour says damp is coming into their house from the drain from my custs down pipe. Its a rainwater drain and the neighbour last year built an extension . Now my initial thought is that the neighbour has done something wrong.
However the neighbour insists its my customers downpipe / rainwater drain .
Im meeting the neighbour who is a 'builder' later this week.

Whats the deal with drains if where they cross into neighbours gardens etc etc nowadays??

Is it combined drain or rainwater soakaway? How close are the properties to each other? Soakaway should be within boundary. Combined different story. If owned by water company which is possible if its joint, did they have permission in the first place? Did Building Control sign it off? If more drainage added by adding extension is drain sized correctly, fall and diameter?

Just get a camera put down the drain.
That should sort out what the issue is, where the issue is - if there is an issue.
