Discuss what do you think to this, part time course in the Plumbing Courses area at Plumbers Forums

My general rule of thumb as far as courses etc goes, is if you have a use for it, why not. Its always easier to take info and skills on board when you have a use for them.

Although, and I can't speak from experience, I don't know what use a correspondence course would be for something where your going to get mucky and wet (well not too wet). Might be better to buy the collins DIY book for £15 or whatever it is.

phone up a plumber and say "i'll give you £150 a month to come along and help you for the next two months. i can fetch and carry or just watch and learn and anything you're happy for me to have a go at would be great. if after that you're up for some further help for free i'd be more than happy to continue until such time as you might feel me of use enough to offer some payment."

that would be £300 better spent
 
waste of time!! some of these types of trainers were recently on watchdog or something. no recognised certificate might as well just by a couple of books!
