The fitting on a UP320 concealed cistern that has the built in isolation/service valve?

It doesnt accept normal olives on copper or plastic even when you select the narrowest of inserts and even if you manage to push the pipe in - the olives sit square on the edge.

Help?

Tried everything but a 'lead wiped joint'.

best put a prv on your incoming cold main to prevent noisy cistern fills in the future

Arent the geberits one of the quietest? Their fill valve is all in one with the float and means the water fills below the water level..... but I agree it might still make a noise due to the pressure. There is a ballofix on the CWM supply pipe that looks to have been set back at 45 degrees or half closed - that is making a racket on its own :)
