What fitting do you use to connect to a Geberit Water supply connection please?

The fitting on a UP320 concealed cistern that has the built in isolation/service valve?

It doesnt accept normal olives on copper or plastic even when you select the narrowest of inserts and even if you manage to push the pipe in - the olives sit square on the edge.

Help?

Tried everything but a 'lead wiped joint'.

All the Geberits I've fitted just take a regular 1/2" tap connector. I would take the problem to my local plumbers merchant if I were you.

Ive always used a tap connector you wont push 15 mm pipe in far enough to use an olive

The problem is the mains pressure it really high supplying the cistern.

I always use a push fit bent tap connector as they have pre fitted rubber washers on them and they can be done up quite easily.

Never had any need for PTFE.

why would you say that without knowing what the pressure is now ?
im a big fan of pushfit tap cons they are so reliable due to the tapered rubber washers

Arent the geberits one of the quietest? Their fill valve is all in one with the float and means the water fills below the water level..... but I agree it might still make a noise due to the pressure. There is a ballofix on the CWM supply pipe that looks to have been set back at 45 degrees or half closed - that is making a racket on its own
