What Is the tee with spring loaded valve on gravity hot water?

What is the tee on gravity hot water flow near boiler? It's a spring loaded valve! Is it a non return or anti gravity valve?

no it just floods the lounge if the f+e blocks or vent blocks it has no bearing on circulation

It doesn't need a pump. 2 x 1" unions and 4" of pipe will cure it.

Most of them never would have in the first place as they were tightened down so much they would have held at 10 bar.
