I have noticed that our hot water has a yellow tinge, does anyone have any idea what can cause this.

Many thanks

have you have a powerflush on your heating or chemical clean on heating? fernox ds40 is strong cleaner and looks yellow.
i have seen chemical cleans eat through cylinder coil which makes heating system water go into cylinder water and out the taps

ive seen Primatic cylinders also getting powerflushed lol which can have simlar effect as the heating water and hot water combine.

Many thanks everyone for your reply's. My cold water tanks is plastic so no problems with rust, how ever I have just found a piece of lovely yellow carpet in the tank which the previous owners must have put on top to keep frost off. All striped down and cleaned now awaiting delivery of new tank jacket and stronger cover.

MAny thanks:)
