Hi,

We moved into a new house a few months ago. The previous owners left us a note saying the toilet need a new part and that they had ordered it. The toilet still flushed but had to be done by sticking pen in a plastic unit that was sticking out of top of the toilet.

The part never turned up and we are finally sick and tired of fiddling with a pen every time we want to flush the toilet.

Trouble is I have no idea what part we need.

Can anyone give me any pointers as to the part, where we can get it and how easy it will be to install..

Thanks.
David

Welcome to the forum, it will be a cable button, is there are brand name on the cistern lid or the toilet pan anywhere? It`s not one I recognise but maybe somebody will be along later to help.

This is a link and they say send us a photo if you can`t find a name.

Looks like a stnd push button

Your best bet is to go to a local plumbing suppliers and take your existing flush with you (should quarter turn and come out) you will have to buy the whole siphon but it should fit

Hope this makes sense if not please reply

Thanks.

ToiletSpares have already replied and identified the part I need

"Replacement dual flush button for the Derwent Macdee DVA100 Kayla flush valve with yellow cable. "

Hopefully this will fix our problem

Regards

For the price of it I think the best option is go for the complete kit least you will have a spare flush mech

Ah, hadn't thought of that. Is that a standard fitting ? and would it just be a case of unscrewing old one and screwing in new one.

If it's the same as the one you have just pop the mech out 1/4 turn and slide the new one in and 1/4 back and job done
