Hi have been offered work fabricating 3" yo 6" gas pipes but need a welder/mate with me so need to know what qualifactions i need to be looking for when i employ someone and any ideas as to what hourly rate i shouldbe paying

i got told the other day what coding and cant remember now. i will find out and get back to you
 
a coded welder is what you really need. it depends on the contract and who it is for, some sites dont ask to ssee coded quals or cert
 
hi thanks for the reply have been told that they don't need to be coded but know one seem to know the quals needed
 
sorry i forgot bout this thread, the coding is 6G but forgot BS number
 
asmey 9 it used to be 6g is just a set position like horizontial or flat asmey 9 cover pipe welding it also depends on how its got to be welded tig or stick
