I need to replace my knackered Ideal w2000 rs 60 which was sized by an old experienced engineer. What size modern boiler would do the same job efficiently. I live in a standard '60s 3 bed semiwith a 2 room ext above the garage plus one rad in a leanto type of build shower/toilet approx 9ftx4ft
Any ideas thanks

Well at present you have a 60,000btu boiler which is about 17.6 kw
If it was sized correctly before and you have not added to system go for one around same size, with modulation of new boilers ,slight oversizing is ok
