So our lovely new build (well, it's from 2004) has this monstrosity in the cupboard - a water meter
(Pics included )
It is downstairs in a cupboard in a utility room.
We have wanted to change the utility room but we are struggling to understand how we can shut this off and possibly shorten it so it doesn't take the whole cupboard's space?
The main incoming pipe is underneath the cupboard ...
Any ideas which bit should be shut off and which bit do we remove or shorten ?

Shut off first valve coming into cupboard and go from there drain of the cold supply from drain to right of meter, the work to the silver pressure reducing valve, you just need to be methodical to neaten all pipe work up. I don’t think you will gain much space but could all be neater
