What would you do/ do you do when this happens?

Asked to sort a dripping tap, I said £65 plus parts to fix or £85 plus tap to replace.
They wanted a repair so I ordered a new part online and opened the packaging so cant return it.
Get there and they have tried to remove the cartridge with grips and rounded it off so I can’t remove it - new tap needed.
Would you charge for the cartridge or take the hit?

I'd be buying an identical tap and handing over the cartridge as a spare at cost plus 30%.

Also means another trip to get a tap, so I would charge for cartridge at cost.

I wouldnt be too bothered usually but its the other side of town so was a wasted trip

And fuel costs? Needs must, and you need to be reimbursed imo.
