- gas valve?
- gas pressure too low?
- control board?
- heat sensors?
- overheat thermostat?
- air pressure switch?
- ignition/spark generator?
- flame sensor?
- heat exchanger?

the pressure lol and the persons lack of knowledge on how to top it back up

I would say water pressure loss. I am seeing lots and lots of minor leaks on the inside of combi's lately and where I worked before we looked after alot of Worcester's and they leaked internally all the time. The washer on new combi's are rubbish

plate heat exchangers trough blocking with crud, aps (the weakest part of any combi),diverter valves thermistors ev and prv, pcbs on certain boilers ,diaprahms if fitted and of course leaking internally due to high temperatures

On the oil ones:-
Customer not topping pressure back up - low pressure switch - screaming pumps
Flow switch
3 Port Valve Head
Danfoss Coil
Expansion Vessels
Pump

Anything and everything depending on what combi you've got!!

Diverter valves, then plate heat exchangers for materials.

Combis fitted where they can't meet the household demand for design.

Non compliant installs for workmanship.

Other for me, hw flow switches or diaphragms!
