hi all, hope u all fine and busy,
i would like to know what u guys think would be the best route to progress within the plumbing industry, i have nvq2, just about to do unvented, cannot do nvq 3 as self employed, was considering part p electrics as in the property maintenance sector, but would like to concentrate on plumbing, thought about renewables, surly this would be the way forward but there dosent seem to be a lot of demand for solar for a one man band, ANY ideas more than welcome. Cheers.

you asking us to predict the future here lol

Renewables are always going to grow but presently people are really interested until you advise them of the price as they aint cheap

I would say to you to stick with your NVQ and stay self employed, get your unvented and there is no reason why you cant do your part P and 17th edition. I often get asked on the job, do you know much about electrics? adds money to the pocket

do most of my electrics, then get them checked by sparky, costly but piece of mind is essential, although i do most of my electrics myself its ok following instructions or just knowing what goes where but i feel i need to know why, what if i do, what if i dont, when etc, i think you are proberbly correct, might have to take the plunge, bit worried as to wether i am bright enough to do part p, all those electrical calculations errrrrrm???????

not too difficult

you can always having your notes in the back of your van

V =IR

p=VI

so you can derive from that P = I^2 R etc

simples 🙂
