I was in the lunch room half an hour ago and was last one left in there with my manager. He's a nice guy but he chats incessantly and his stories go on too long, even worse than me. Not wanting to have a second round of chat in the corridor on way back to the workshop I decided to run away.

That was a mistake because somehow I managed to trip over my own foot, got proper air I did with no part of me touching the ground for a couple of metres of unpowered flight. I literally flew into a row of lockers and crashed to the ground.

I've sprained my wrist, bashed my right knee and clobbered my shoulder

The very first thing I did was make sure nobody saw me and that there were no cameras. Fortunately neither but now I'm a bit disappointed there was no camera as I reckon the air I got was impressive.

Next time I think I'll just listen to my manager's story, nod and grin instead of trying to run away as soon as I get round the corner.

So, when was the last time any of you had a good old falling over?

Servicing my own boiler about a year ago (embarrassed emoji)...I casually put a handy chopping board over the sink for a better footing when it slipped and I took a backwards tumble...

Luckily the handles on my quite fancy double oven broke my fall including every bit of (inner and outer) oven glass. Bill was about £350 for the glass and a bruised back and ego. :)

Cleaned up before anybody returned and luckily the Mrs couldn't bake anything for a few weeks.

Angela fell over her own foot on a carpet yesterday it was funny I myself my l/h knee often gives way so used to being carefull. but we are old ..like 60 but she can really move on the way upstairs each evening because if she is slow I pull her pyjamas down

You guys have all the emojis going on your phone's you know. 🤩🥰😚🥰😃😘😣😫😧😯😦😕😵🤬😈🤑👹👽👹🤠🌚👺

I fell of a large wall a few years ago and broke my back. Wedge-fractured a disc in my spine. On pain killers for life.

I've gone fairly steady since. 🙃

Story of my life at the minute Shaun... hold on. Are we talking about beers or customers? ;) ;) On a serious note. Think it has been a few years. I bet I fall blooming over at work tomorrow now.

I am slightly worried I may have jinxed everybody here by posting this thread. So sorry in advance if anyone stacks it tomorrow. Be on your wits and take care as always.

I'm aching all over right now from my flying lesson. I barely had time to move the controls 👨‍✈️ but may have mashed the rudder pedal as my feet got tangled up causing the rough landing. 🧚‍♂️🛫✈🛬🎆🔥

You’ll have to keep a watch out incase you start growing feathers after your little flight :D

Ha ha...we were in Knaresborough in the summer and I'd had probably had 4 pints of stout on an empty stomach really quickly and the pub at the top as you get off the train and upon going down the slope to get along the river I misjudged the bottom step and fell full length to the floor at the feet of a passing family, I smashed my face to the ground enough to break my sunglasses and took the skin right off one of my knuckles...I went down like a sack of...

I can still hear that slap of bone against tarmac.

Potatoes. Definitely potatoes.

As for bone Vs tarmac - ooof! Nasty!

I used to go straight to the pub after work every day and drink 3 or 4 pints in about an hour and a half, get them in before the wife gets home from work. I used to feel (and appear) quite drunk doing that sometimes and in the early days my Mrs would be annoyed with me but I insisted I'd be right as rain soon as I start getting my dinner down me. As always, a bit of grub and it was like a switch, I'd straighten up really quickly and not be drunk any more so she stopped being annoyed with me and realised I wasn't in quite the state I first appeared.

I don't do that these days though.

We were in Spain in June, we were getting tea in the hotel restaurant and I slipped on an oyster or something and smashed into the floor face first with my plate of food smashing and going everywhere cutting my thumb so it was bleeding everywhere. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FULL RESTUARANT. I was so embarrassed. Loads of people gathered round to help and Dan came sprinting over. I had severely bruised and swollen knees. Took a fair few weeks to get better.
