Eurgh. Just seen a water stain on the wall in our cloakroom behind the WC. New washer needed on the inlet to the fill valve. Of course being a new build house they have thrown it in and it's all inaccessible.

Just out of the 2 year warranty too of course. I hate doing work at home.

Don't change yourself and you'll feel better.

Plus remember the washer or other materials you buy are tax deductable!

So, you get free labour from someone you trust and a tax break !!

It's yet another good reason to have an apprentice really. It will be good experience for him to do while I head out for a quote on Wednesday.

Tell the wife to put the iron down and get her to go out to the van and bring the tools in.
After she has dropped a beer into your hand on the way past tell her to come back through if she gets stuck and you'll tell her what to do next.

Works for me

Ill do it for you

Obviously for a fee
Feel for you man! I dont mind doing work at home or for family since i know its done right and tell them the best way (not the cheapest materials etc)
