you know when its going to be a good day when.......

you take on a job you dont really want or have time for, the toilet cistern has been bodged together and leaking at the dougnut. no problem straight forward enough!!

3 hours later after shoving it all back together putting right whats wrong, re-making the inlet pipe that has been glued onto the spiggot and no longer wants to hold water, so we exchange the float valve for one with thread on it, chop out the corroded copper and make all connections within the 6'' allocated space available. then we run back down 2 flights off stairs again to re-instate supplies, back up to top floor for the 5th time!!!.

now were all ready to turn on the iso for the test so its drop to your knees and....'crack' as your knee cap slaps down onto the 3/4'' nut you left on the floor totally missing the knee protectors **********stard:disappointed:

to to a fire it's all decorated and u go to fit trim and you need to remove the fire and refit. Horrible!!

Some will tell you that dental pain is the worst kind, but i disagree.....if you work on your knee's as we do then you will know the worst kind is kneeling on something small and feeling the intense pain like a tazer must be.

For me it's when you open a commercial biomass that's been sat on kindle for too long, doesn't get hot enough to burn off the volatiles and leaves the combustion chamber looking like a tar pit....

I text the mrs yesterday and my words were I think I'm going to regret taking this job on.

It was the same job that I put on here where the joists have been butchered when the now ex boyfriend tried to fit his own central heating. Lucky he didn't get too much done. The first hour and a half was ripping out the speed fit that had been cut with a hacksaw and not straight at all but they did have inserts lol.

To make the job even worse there is a massive great granite wall about 5ft high on the stairs when I was running up and down the stairs I whacked my head full pelt on the wall. I was not a happy bunny at all!

But the customer rings you Saturday morning with a Credit Card no.

Love this situation better though.,
Go out on Saturday morning and change a stuffed room thermostat.
Run the system..get paid...nice earner.
Woman calls Monday..no heating...boiler is leaking water and expects the repairs will be covered by the cost of the replacement of the thermostat.
