Hi all,

Got a customer who wants an unvented cylinder fitting, they have low flow rate so looking for opinions on best mains boost solution - had a quick look and in order to get anywhere near 18l min will need an accumulator and pump combo.
Expect the answer is the bigger the better, as always space is a concern - the property currently has 2 bathrooms, a loft extension may take this to three in the future.

Any advice on size/makes/etc welcome.

Thanks,

Matt

IMO, accumulators are a last resort. Useful where there's a lot of space (they always need to be bigger than you'd hope) and no realistic alternative, e.g. rural property at the end of a very long run. Otherwise, it's much better to get the incoming service pipe upgraded so that the flow rate matches the demand. Expensive (but so are accumulators and pumps) but the only really good (pay once, fixed forever) solution.

What have you got atm flow and pressure dynamic and static ?
