My wet vac is a wickes one and it does the job.

I was in there this morning and just had a little look at their power tools. I wouldn't personally buy any but I was wondering if they are any better or worse than other cheap branded tools?

Read a few threads mate. That's why I bought it. Recommendation from this forum. Yes there's a few people who have since said that the wickes one has blown but under warranty so can be replaced.

I use mine for emptying toilets and cisterns to save me getting shirty water everywhere. Also use it to clear water out of a pipe before soldering.

I'm not spending a shed load of money on a bit of kit that doesn't get used that much. I'd rather put the money towards something I use more often

Id go ape if one of my tools got stolen. I'm really conscious of where I leave them. Don't keep them in their boxes. Just use a spanner bag to carry my makitas.

Had a Bosch drill burn out on me earlier. Wasn't bothered as it was a green Bosch DIY drill I've had for years. Using it to mix tile adhesive.

But if that same tool got stolen I'd be punching the walls!!

Can't stand thieves!!

I had a Wickes 18V combi drill ages ago which didn't last too long and an SDS drill that also died after moderate use, spares were available through Draper who make them.
