Well as the title states I have just installed my first wifi operated fire. You can control how much gas it uses, the style of flame it makes ie waves and you can control up to five fires at once. I don't know the price but at a guess more than a small ch install. Oh and it's a pain in the arse to fit

If its operated over wifi, then you could in theory turn it on down the pub. But what if the cat has knocked the paper flowers into the fire? You could come home to a burned out house!!!

Actually not to bad, have fitted quite a few, but they have just released this one with the Honeywell valve. Just remember metal studs for stud work, pink plasterboard and vents at the top. Gas is in 15mm

Cheers for the heads up mate I've fetched the mi home with me gunna have a good read up on it

I didn't know such a product existed, but I don't fit a lot of fires. I like the idea though.

Fitted my first DRU fire a few weeks back, an LPG Circo BF Stove..... 3 weeks after fitting it I got a call back as the glass had completely sooted up, I mean totally black. After re-reading the translated Dutch fitting instructions to see if I had done something wrong (they are quite ambiguous and vague) all I could find was that one of the logs had somehow moved a little from its correct seat so I stripped it, cleaned the glass and re-laid the logs. I phoned DRU to check if I had over looked anything and they said it was probably this out of alignment log. I know Coal and log placement is important, especially with the soot LPG fires produce but this was awful and also a very expensive fire.

Might look nice but a horrible thing from an engineers perspective, hope I don't have to fit another....

All the instructions are in English, there's usually about five or six different language books. But yeah, have to set up restrictor plates ( depending on flue configuration ) and air inlet guides and log position, all takes time

Yep. Probably unlikely to ever fit enough of them to become very familiar but will deffo allow plenty of time if I get asked to do one again. Did look the part though, despite being a pain in the a***!
