Wifi/Smart Water Meter

A property which I rent out (HMO) has a standard water meter installed which is fine, but the utility company do not provide 'smart meters', so I am left to make my own arrangements.

I wish to be able to monitor use/readings more frequently online or via an app. This could provide indications about leaks for example. Regrettably tenants may not be observant of leaks and prove unrelaiable in this regard.

Please can I ask if there are any such products on the market, a secondary meter with wifi/app capability. I can only really find products available in america and would preferably not like to pay several hundred pounds.

I don’t know if they’re available, I know United utilities use a Bluetooth meter reader, but it’s for them not consumers. It Salome looks like Thames water do a smart meter, not sure who for though.
