I've been looking at combi boilers for a 4 bed 2 bath/shower house, to replace an aging vaillant, in particular the advanta 39c, will this give me enough flow for 2 simultaneous showers or do I have to go for a storage combi?. Anyone know what these cost approximatly so I know wheather or not to rule it out. Working pressure at least 1.4 bar and 24ltrs/hr flow on cold main.
cheers

After all these questions are you doing the job yourself. A gas safe registered engineer has to do all gas related work.

I will get a proper installer to fit the boiler (may not be local though), I just want information from a greater source, so I know exactly whats needed and I'm not at the mercy of any local fitters who would like to fit 'their speciality' instead of what will do the job properly. In fact I've found that its pretty hard to find ballpark figures for the higher end boilers, there's nothing on the net, for example the remeha site does'nt give installers, just a phone number for the sales guy!. In the end I just would like some idea of what can be used and some price comparisons so i can decide what I can afford to install.

Yes
if system set up right and big enough mains into property
If you have room go for a small storage unit link up

24 litres an hour is going to be a very poor shower

Trading Depot are selling the Avanta 39c for just over £1000 including flue and VAT (15% at the moment, going back to 17.5% in January). Your installer will be able to get the boiler for much less than that.

The last price list (04/09) showed the "Trade" price of the Avanta39C as £1350+VAT!

I contacted Broag-Remeha recently to enquire about "approved" installers and was told they do not have a list. They gave me the name of the local supplier and said they would be able to recommend someone.

I like the idea of a small cylinder, cause I would like to use solar heating in the future. I was looking at the atag Q solar series but they are a bit too big for where I was wanting to have the bioler installed. Puddle, can a cylinder be added to this boiler and then solar panels added later?
