Does it matter if the gas pipe from the meter to a combi gas boiler is too big ie.28mm?

What harm will it do?

Let your gsr worry about it.

The boiler manufacturer has said that it will not matter if the pipe is too big ie.28mm.

In fact they said the bigger the better especially if other appliances (gas fire and cooker) are also connected.

However I have had conflicting opinions from installers.

no Iam finding a lot of combis need that extra size now, running a lot in 28mm

As said before. Let your gsr worry about it. He should size it properly to take into account the other appliances and still save you money.

No point running 28mm if your boiler is close to the meter!
