Just finished tiling and im fitting a wall hung geberit wc with a washlet which has its own water supply.
The kit for the install comes with a 90 deg elbow which i believe from the instruction pictures, is designed to screw into a threaded adapter at the end of the water supply.
Because i used a different brand toilet frame (v&b) that doesnt come with the supply pipe with threaded end, ive plumbed in a 15mm pipe for the feed.
What im unsure about is whether or not the elbow is actually a compression fitting and will it seal properly......
here it is (note the threaded sections are machined flat at the ends, hard to see in the photo)
The thing im not sure about is that when offered up to a bit of 15mm, the pipe only sits inside the elbow by about 3mm as can be seen by the exposed pipe to the left side of the olive here
in comparison, with a compression fitting, the pipe goes inside a good 10-15mm.
First thing i did was dig out a regular compression elbow from the tool box but then realised that the ends of the thread on the elbow supplied with the kit are machined flat for a flat fibre washer to go on one end where a flexi hose can be attached. Regular compression fittings dont have this feature so would just cut into a fibre washer
So, do you think the supplied elbow will be okay to use?
if not does anyone know of a 15mm compression elbow with threads that are machined flat at the ends that i can use?
hope that make sense and thanks
