Combi

Looking for a bit of advice got a Worchester bosch 28i junior non condensing,

- got to the property boiler would come on for 1-5 minutes then fan would stop and flame would lift around the burner,

- then it wouldn't give 240v to the fan when resetting.

- then it went back to the first fault.

I was thinking pcb?

I would check the aps as well. If you have no power going to the fan and flame is still on its most likely Pcb but had one needed a aps as well. (I think it had melted or something like that)

Ye that was the first fault fan cuts out and the flame goes around the burner. on the second fault it didn't give any voltage to the fan just went straight to lock out would this mean it's not the aps?
pcb not always giving fan voltage?

I've had something similar twice first time Pcb it worked second I was cocky put Pcb in still did it found aps shot put that in with old Pcb still did it put both parts in worked a treat.

you got continuity across the aps? have you tried linking out the aps?

same fault changed aps then changed pcb now ok just change both tel cust better than 2 x labour

Not tested aps yet, i'm quiet new to boiler break downs what's the best way to test it? link out the two connectors? what readings should I get across terminals?

try clicking tha aps buy blowing sucking etc, if no joy check continuity across aps (buzzer is fine) if no joy power off, leads of aps and link cabels and see if boiler fires (be safe though mate with electricity) thats how i test but other others may do different stuff. too b fair those worcesters are a pig to fault find

Tested aps it was fine, changed pcb all was good, thanks for help guys!
