Just a thought, have an expansion vessel to replace or fit elsewhere. Obviously replacing in situ using manufacturers instructions will incurr a million leaks and be a pain in the hole.... ~Has anyone ever removed the rivetted panel on the left, replaced the exp vsl and reivetted back up? Is in a really nice kitchen so would rather not put externally above boiler.......

Done a few in my time the conventional way out the front! And they come with all the washers etc, one thing Worcester realised is needed, The washers and 'o'rings, unlike many manufacturers I can mention!!!... Takes an hours tops and maybe a prayer or two regards there being no leaks afterwards :) Never known of anyone drilling out rivets my self :)

I spoke to a Worcester engineer about this last time I sat my ACS, and he recommended removing the expansion vessel out of the side and re-riveting. I have never tried myself though, as mentioned above Worcester do giver you all the required seals.

yes and it works and stops you killing the older gas valve solenoids that are located behind the gas valve and made of very brittle plastic and no the boiler wont fall apart

Went well! Recommend it to anyone!!!
