Hi all
been to one of my customers today who has a worcester 240 OF combi installed. This particular one has the open vented conversion on the heating side.
British Gas, bless them, Have been out and told my customer that it has been installed wrong, so I have been asked to convert it back to a pressurisd system, BG also told my customer that the boiler will not work efficiently unless it is pressurised.
Has any one else had experiance of converting one of these back to pressurised or am I waisting my time as it doesnt need converting.
From what I can see the conversion should be easy all I have to do is
1. cut the cold feed combined with open vent and install an aav
2. install a safety discharge pipe on to the pressure relief valve
3. install a combi fill to recharge the heating
4. run around like a headless chicken looking for leaks after pressurising the system.
I would be extremly gratefull for any input on this.
Regards
Mike
