worcester 24i junior boiler. no CH

I have a 24i junior worcester bosch boiler and the red fault light is slow flashing when I request central heating.

Hot water is working fine and then when i switch to CH the boiler fires, starts up then sounds like kettle boiling before it shuts down and the red fault light flashes.

Would this be a fault with the pump?? How do I diagnose the problem?

welcome to the forum colin , it could be a lot of things IMHO

The water pressure is ok and the gas, igniter and flame are working fine for the hot water and CH before it shuts down. How do I test if the pump is running or what should I check next? The water is very hot when I run the tap after the CH is on and the boiler shuts down.

Yeap, I have a meter.

I just took the cap off the pump and its not spinning then I switch to CH and I can't turn it, I assume the pump is seized.

see if you have 240v at the pump when its in ch mode if you do and the pumps not spinning its failed

Seems like there is power to the pump as the motor was smoking when I tried to run the ch!
