Worcester 24ii no heating

hot water working fine, checked power at room stat and that’s fine but absolutely nothing happening when turning heating on at the boiler.
Any ideas ?

Think quick cause its Friday
Maybe diverter valve gone lala
only a gas safe job....maybe give the hotwater out pipe a sharp,smack centralheatking

Nah just changed a radiator

You've checked power at the thermostat but have you checked power is getting back to the boiler? Other than that could be diverter or pcb

Forgot to ask, are you gas registered? If not you can't remove the cover to check what I've suggested.

Yes I am , only since this month though and I don’t have much experience with fault finding yet.

Ok send your gas safe details to Shawn so you can get your gsr badge. First check you have power back at the boiler switch live, if you've got power back then it's a fault within the boiler. if your ever stuck, ring the manufacturers, they will be able to run you through all tests to point you in the right direction of the fault. They know their boilers better than anyone and they are there to help you.

Yeah there’s power at the switch live.
I’ll get my GS details sent over tonight, had to phone them yesterday to get my licence number to book on some manufacturers training day’s as my ID card hasn’t came through yet.

Nah just changed a radiator

Well this might well be the diverter valve they are notorious for going lala after a drain down. eg one of my places with a worcester needs rad move but I will not be touching it until weather warms up, just for this possible outcome. Rob Foster. centralheatking. others might have other ideas

If it was the diverter valve would the pump not still try to work first ?

I didn’t check the electrics inside the boiler as another company has the maintenance and repair contract, I was only trying to get it back on while I was there if it was a quick fix but when I called for heating absolutely nothing happened , hot water working fine.

No, only noticed as I tried the put it on to make sure the new rad was heating up

Lesson learned there bud always check it works before hand
