Sorry 28cdi (not26) 16 yr old boiler. Firstly the water inlet with the grey nut - the shaft has worn so I can only add water through removing nut and gripping with a pair of pliers. Consequence is it's getting worn and often not tightened as much as should and ends up overfilling the boiler. Can this be replaced?
The white filler key is currently in the locked padlock as if arrow pointed to open padlock doesn't heat the downstairs radiators, is this right (instructions indicate the key should point to closed padlock)
cold the boiler indicates 1bar. When the boiler was on showed bar beyond the maximum and leaking water slightly. I drained a jug worth from a radiator and pressure dropped to 1/4 bar....now just dropped again

at at a real loss here.

Yes it can be replaced but it's not a diy job I'm afraid so you will require a gas safe engy
